Christine

CATTELL

Born in England and raised in Canada, Christine is now an American citizen and actress, who calls Los Angeles home. She does however, hold three passports...but don’t tell the Feds!

Christine’s passion has been acting ever since she was a little girl. Always involved in every school production, her education culminated in a degree in drama from the University of Toronto. In between her studies, and being named an “Ontario Scholar”, Christine landed roles in TV, film and commercials, as well as the title of Miss Toronto. She went on to become a very recognizable and sought after Canadian talent as a series regular on such comedies as SCTV and The Royal Canadian AirFarce, among others. At the same time, Christine was signed as a recording artist with Our Gang Records in Detroit. Ready for a larger market, Christine packed up her car and moved to Los Angeles. She immediately landed film roles (Mr Wrong, Last Dance) and worked consistently in sit-coms like Seinfeld, Dear John and Quantum Leap. Christine was also a comedy player for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

After a “Maternity Leave” to raise her family, Christine is delighted that everyone is now out of diapers and out of the house! She was very excited to be a part of the regular cast of “The Real Bros of Simi Valley” (Seasons 2 & 3) where she could indulge in her first love, comedy. Christine plays the role of “Sandy”, Xander’s long suffering, and slightly dysfunctional mom. Christine is also part of the Hallmark Channel family where she has played Danica McKellar’s loving mom and Alison Sweeney’s saucy mom, among others.  And she helped launch the new hit CBS series “So Help Me Todd” when she guest-starred opposite Marcia Gay Harden in the pilot episode as a murderous mom. Apparently those years raising her family were great training for Christine’s acting career!!!
